Introduction and Outlines of 5th Kalma
A brief analysis of 5th Kalma:
Six Kalmas comprise Islam. The first is called Kalma Tayyaba, followed by Kalma Shahadat, Kalma Tamjeed, and Kalma Toheed. The fifth Kalma, which is also called “Astaghfaar,” is called Kalma English, and the sixth is called Radd e Kufr. “Seeking forgiveness in Allah” is the meaning of the Arabic term Astaghfaar. For all sins, whether known or unknown, private or public, Astaghfaar must continue to be necessary. A person is asking Allah to assist them in their future good deeds, or dua.

The term Astaghfaar, which means pleading with Allah to pardon your faults, is one of the five virtues of the Kalma. Reciting Surah Astaghfaar improves grades and lowers sins. Even though the phrase “Astaghfaar” is extremely harmful, Allah has included several blessings and virtues in it. Hassan Basri was a wise man and a superb scholar. Once, a childless man entered his court, or dargah, and asked to have children prayed for. According to Hasan Basri, read the Fifth Kalma.
Once upon a time, a destitute man arrived and asked for prayer to escape his poverty. “Recite Astaghfaar,” declared the Hassan Basri. A landowner asked for rain to fall. “Recite fifth Kalma,” declared Hassan Basri. And the man asked for a dua after complaining about his kids’ poor manners. Recite the Fifth Kalma, Hassan Basri continued to say. Afterward, these individuals were invited to come and pray with various forms of suffering by the disciples and followers. Basri Hassan “O people read Astaghfaar; Allah is the Most Forgiving, He will shower you with much-needed rain, and He will help you with wealth and children,” is how the Holy Quran’s verses are read in response. and continued by saying that there is a cure for every ill that befalls those who recite the Fifth Kalma.
Hadith about the 5th Kalma
There are the hadith of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) about the 5th Kalmas
Our Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said :
“Allah, the most praiseworthy and honorable, will accept the forgiveness of His servant till his death cycle begins.” (Tirmidhi 18)
Another hadith of prophet Muhammad (PBUH) of Sahih Al Bukhari hadith 319- Book 75
“To Him! I ask for forgiveness, from Allah and turn to Him in repentance more than seventy times a day.”
5th Kalma In Arabic, English, and Urdu
5th Kalma in Arabic states that:
اَستَغفِرُ اللّٰہَ رَبِّی مِن کُلِّ ذَنبٍ اَذ نَبتُہ’ عَمَدًا اَو خَطَاً سِرًّ اَ عَلَانِیُُتِہً وَّ اَتُوبُ اِلَیہِ مِنَ الذَّ نبِ الّّذِی اَعلَمُ وَ مِنَ الذَّنبِ الَّذِی لَا اَعلَمُ اِنَّکَ اَنتَ عَلَّامُ الغُیُوبِ وَ سَتَّارُ العُیُوبِ وَ غَفَّارُ الذُّنُوبِ وَلَا حَولَ وَ لَا قُوَّةَ اِلَّا بِاللّٰہِ العَلِیِّ العَظِیم۔
5th Kalma in English states that:
“I seek forgiveness from Allah, who is my lord, from every guilt I committed knowingly or unknowingly, secretly or confidentially, and I repent in his court from the sin which I know and the sin which I don’t know, Certainly You (O Allah!), You (are) the knower of the hidden things and concealer (of) the mistakes and the Forgiver (of) the sins. And no power and no strength except from ALLAH, the Most High, the most Great.”
5th Kalma in Urdu states that:
میں اپنے پروردگار اللّٰہ سے معافی مانگتا ہوں ہر اس گناہ کی جو میں نے جان بوجھ کر کیا یا بھول کر، چھپ کر کیا یا ظاہر ہوکر۔اور میں اس کی بارگاہ میں توبہ کرتا ہوں اس گناہ کی جسے میں جانتا ہوں اور اس گناہ کی بھی جسے میں نہیں جانتا۔(اے اللّٰہ!) بیشک تو غیبوں کا جاننے والا، عیبوں کا چھپانے والا اور گناہوں کا بخشنے والا ہے۔ اور گناہ سے بچنے کی طاقت اور نیکی کرنے کی قوت نہیں مگرا للہ کی مدد سے جو بہت بلند عظمت والا ہے۔‘‘
5th Kalma transliteration : “Astaghfiru-llaaha Rabbi Min Kulli Dhambin Adhnabtuhoo ‘Amadan Aw Khata-an Sirran Aw ‘Alaaniyata-wn Wa-atoobu Ilaihi Min-adh Dhambi-l Ladhee A’lamu Wamina-dh Dhambi-l Ladhi Laaa A’lamu Innaka Anta ‘Allaamu-l Ghuyoobi Wasattaaru-l ‘Uyoobi Wa Ghaffaaru-dh Dhunubi Walaa Hawla Walaa Quwwata Illaa Billaahi-l ‘Aliyyil ‘Azeem.“
