Introduction:

Durood-e-Ibrahimi was given to us by Hazrat Ibrahim’s relative (peace be upon him). A person will be rewarded with the ability to build the Kaabah and the ability to fling pebbles from the beginning till the Day of Judgment if they recite Darood Sharif once. They will receive rewards for circumnavigating the Kaabah Sharif in proportion to the number of persons who do so until the Day of Judgment. All Muslims will make these sacrifices on the day of Eid-ul-Azha from Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him) until the Day of Judgment, and these sacrifices will be rewarded.

Additionally, according to Hazrat Ibrahim’s (peace be upon him) narrative, we have discovered the water of Zamzam (آبِ زم زم). A person will receive the reward of providing Zamzam water to everyone who drinks it till the Day of Resurrection if they recite Durood Ibrahim just once. In all prayers, Darood is also recited. “Whoever sends blessings on me ten times in the morning and ten times in the evening when he sleeps, my intercession becomes obligatory for him,” stated the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).

Virtues of Beautiful Darood Sharif

The relevance and virtue of Durood Pak are immense. The Quran and Hadith both attest to Durood’s quality. This Durood was also recited by Auliya Ikram and the Companions. Another highly useful recitation for a variety of needs is Durood Pak. The visit of Hazrat Muhammad is sanctified by performing his wazifa. Darood Sharif is abundant, which purifies the heart and soul and releases one from all negative deeds. According to the Hadith Sharif, whoever bestows upon me every blessing will have ten good deeds recorded for him and will receive ten times’ forgiveness.

Hadits About Durood e Ibrahim

There are many hadiths about Darood e Ibrahim which are as follows:

Hazrat Ibrahim bin Ali bin Atiya, may Allah be pleased with him, said

“I was honored by the vision of Sayyed du Alam (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in my dream and I submitted to the Prophet’s court O Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, I asked you for intercession. That is, by reciting blessings on me abundantly.” (Saada Al Darin ص. 121)

“There is great virtue in sending blessings upon the Prophet; only the destitute (person) turns away from it!” Imam Ibn Hazm (Al-Mahly balasaar: 359/4)

Virtues of Darood Shareef By Quran

Similar to how we discussed the virtue of Darood Sharif Ibrahim in light of Hadith in the paragraph above, Durood-e-Pak’s virtue is likewise clear from the Quran. In Surah Al Ahzab of the Quran, Allah Almighty states:

Indeed, O you who believe, Allah and His angels send Darood e pak upon the Prophet, peace be upon him! You (also) wish them well and offer prayers. Al Ahzab, Surah.

Reading Darood on Friday

On Friday, it is strongly suggested to recite Durrod. Several Hadiths attest to the tremendous advantage of reciting the duriod sharif from Maghrib on Thursday to Maghrib on Friday.

According to Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), who is recounted, Hazrat Muhammad said:

“Recite Durood Sharif on me frequently on Friday and the night of Friday. Whoever recites Durood Sharif on me once, Allah will shower 10 blessings on him.” (Al-Sunan Al-Kubra Allbayhaqi 6207)

Sayyidna Abdullah bin Masoud (RA) said: O Zayd bin Wahb! On Friday, do not miss praying on the Prophet Sallallahu alayhi wasallam a thousand times. To say: اللَّهمَّ صَلِّ على النَّبيِّ الأمِّيّ. (Narrated by Abu Naeem)

[In one hadith, these words are: اللَّهمَّ صَلِّ على محمَّدٍ النَّبيِّ الأمِّيِّ. (Generosity) One can read whatever one wants in both.]

Then reciting Durood on Friday is the best because this day is the best of all days and whoever recites Durood Sharif on that day is presented to the Prophet upon completion of his Durood. (Sunan Ibn Majah 1637)
