Introduction:

There are various kinds of Duroods in our beloved faith, Islam, including Durood Tanjeena, Durood Ibrahimi, and Durood Sharif. And they’re all essential and worthy. Similarly, Durood-e-Taj is also among those Duroods that are extremely significant. A brief Durood called Durood Taj is performed to grant very substantial wishes. The visitation of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) is blessed when the Durood Taj is recited. Additionally, the Durood Taj is chanted to ward off illness and provide protection against adversaries.

Benefits of reading Durood-e-Taj

There are the benefits and wazaif of Durood e taj.

• After reciting Durood-e-Taj 170 times, a person who wears pure garments and puts on perfume on Friday night of the first to the fourteenth day of the month of Arj (i.e., from the first to the fourteenth of the lunar month) after the Isha prayer should retire to bed. And Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) would visit him if he persists in doing this for eleven nights, IN SHAALLAH.
• One can eradicate smallpox, the devil, and jinn by saying Durood-e-Taaj eleven times (چیچک کی بیماری).
• Durood-e-Taj is chanted 60 times after the Fajr prayer, three times after the Asr prayer, and three times after the Isha prayer to purify the heart.
• After the Isha prayer, Durood-e-Taj is said 41 times throughout 40 nights to protect oneself from the evils of tyrants, rulers, jealous individuals, and foes.
• Following the seven Isha prayers for blessings in sustenance (Rizq), the Wazif of Durood Taj is performed.

Darod e Taj in Arabic states that:

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ سَيِّدِنَا وَمَوْلَانَا مُحَمَّدٍ صَاحِبِ التَّاجِ وَالْمِعْرَاجِ وَالْبُرَاقِ وَالْعَلَمِ دَافِعِ الْبَلآءِ وَالْوَبَآءِ وَالْقَحْطِ وَالْمَرَضِ وَالْأَلَمِ اِسْمُهُ مَكْتُوبٌ مَرْفُوعٌ مَشْفُوعٌ مَنْقُوشٌ فِي اللَّوْحِ وَالْقَلَمِ سَيِّدِ الْعَرَبِ وَالْعَجَمِ جِسْمُهُ مُقَدَّسٌ مُعَطَّرٌ مُطَهَّرٌ مُنَوَّرٌ فِي الْبَيْتِ وَالْحَرَمِ شَمْسِ الضُّحَ بَدْرِ الدُّجَى صَدْرِ الْعُلَى نُورِ الْهُدَى كَهْفِ الْوَرَى مِصْبَاحِ الظُّلَمِ جَمِيلِ الشِّيَمِ شَفِيعِ الْأُمَمِ صَاحِبِ الْجُودِ وَالْكَرَمِ وَاللهُ عَاصِمُهُ وَجِبْرِيلُ خَادِمُهُ وَالْبُرَاقُ مَرْكَبُهُ وَالْمِعْرَاجُ سَفَرُهُ وَسِدْرَتُ الْمُنْتَهَى مَقَامُهُ وَقَابَ قَوْسَيْنِ مَطْلُوبُهُ وَالْمَطْلُوبُ مَقْصُودُهُ وَالْمَقْصُودُ مَوْجُودُهُ سَيِّدِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ خَاتِمِ النَّبِيِّينَ شَفِيعِ الْمُذْنِبِينَ أَنِيسِ الْغَرِيبِينَ رَحْمَةٍ لِلْعَالَمِينَ رَاحَةِ الْعَاشِقِينَ مُرَادِ الْمُشْتَاقِينَ شَمْسِ الْعَارِفِينَ سِرَاجِ السَّالِكِينَ مِصْبَاحِ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ مُحِبِّ الْفُقَرَاءِ وَالْغُرَبَاءِ وَالْمَسَاكِينِ سَيِّدِ الثَّقَلَيْنِ نَبِيِّ الْحَرَمَيْنِ إِمَامِ الْقِبْلَتَيْنِ وَسِيلَتِنَا فِي الدَّارَيْنِ صَاحِبِ قَابَ قَوْسَيْنِ مَحْبُوبِ رَبِّ الْمَشْرِقَيْنِ وَالْمَغْرِبَيْنِ جَدِّ الْحَسَنِ وَالْحُسَيْن مَوْلَانَا وَمَوْلَى الثَّقَلَيْنِ أَبِي الْقَاسِمِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ نُورٍ مِنْ نُورِ اللهِ يَا أَيُّهَا الْمُشْتَاقُونَ بِنُورِ جَمَالِهِ صَلّوُا عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَأَصْحَابِهِ وَسَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيمًا

صاحبِ تاج وہ، شاہِ معراج و، شہسوارِ براق و امیرِ عَلَم،
دافعِ ہر بلا، دافعِ ہر وبا دافعِ قحط وامراض و رنج و الم

اسم لکھا گیا، اسم اونچا ہوا، اسم مُہرِ قبولِ شفاعت بھی ہے،
اسم کی برکتیں، اسم کی رونقیں، اسم لوح و قلم کی امانت بھی ہے

کیاعرب کیاعجم سب کے سردار ہیں، سب کے سردار کا ہے مقدس بدن،
حرم و کعبہ کو وہ جو منور کرے، وہ مہکتی وہ پاکیزہ سی اک کرن

چاشت گاہوں کا سورج وجود آپ ﷺ کا، آپ ﷺ ہر شب کی ظلمت کے ماہتاب ہیں،
صدر بزمِ بلندی و رفعت کے ہیں، راہ گزارِ ہدایت کے ماہتاب ہیں

ساری مخلوق کی ہیں وہ جائے اماں، ساری تاریکیوں کے وہ روشن چراغ،
نیک طینت ہیں وہ، نیک اطوار ہیں ان کے ہاتھوں میں ہیں بخششوں کے ایاغ

سَر سے پیروں تلک وہ کرم ہی کرم، رب حفاظت کرے بالیقیں آپ ﷺ کی،
اُن کے خدمت گزاروں میں جبریل ہے، اور سُواری براقِ حسیں آپ ﷺ کی

سفر اُنکا ہے معراج اور سدرۃ المنتہٰی مستقر اور مقام اُن کا ہے،
قاب قوسین کا مرتبہ اُنکا مطلوب ہے اور دارالسّلام اُن کا ہے

اور مطلوب ہی اُن کا مقصود ہے اور مقصود ہی اُن کا موجود ہے،
آپ ﷺ سارے رسولوں کے سردار ہیں، آپ ﷺ کا صرف اللّٰہ معبود ہ

بعد میں سارے نبیوں کے آئے ہیں وہ، بخشوائیں گے ہر اِک گناہگار کو،
ہر مسافر کی کرتے ہیں غمخواریاں، رحمتیں بانٹتے ہیں وہ سنسار کو

عاشقوں کے دلوں کی وہ تسکین ہیں، اورمُرادِ ہر اِک صاحبِ شوق کی،
حق شناسوں کےخورشید وخاور ہیں وہ، سالِکینِ رہِ عشق کی روشنی

پیار محتاج ومفلس سے مسکین سے، ہر مقرب کی وہ رہنمائی کریں،
جن و انساں کے سرادر دونوں حرم دونوں قبلوں کی وہ پیشوائی کریں

دنیا اورآخرت کا وسیلہ ہیں وہ ، رتبہِ قابَ قوسین جن کو مِلا،
دونوں ہی مشرقوں مغربوں کا وہ رب، حاصل اُن کو خطاب اُسکے محبوب کا

جدِّ امجد ہیں حسنین کے اور ہر جن و انساں کے آقا و مولٰی ہیں وہ ،
والد قاسم کے بیٹے ہیں عبداللّٰہ کے اور نورِ الہٰی کا حصّہ ہیں وہ

اے فدایانِ نورِ جمالِ نبی ﷺ ، آپ ﷺ پر آل و اصحاب پر صبح و شام،
جیسے حق بھیجنے کا ہے بھیجو بصد احترام و محبت درود و سلام

Translation of Darood e Taj in English states that:

O Allah, send prayers upon our master and patron Muhammad (PBUH), the possessor of the crown, the Miʿraj, the Buraaq, and the flag, the repeller of hardships, epidemics, droughts, diseases, and pain. His name is written, exalted, combined, and engraved upon the tablet and pen.

The master of both Arabs and non-Arabs, whose body is sanctified, fragrant, pure, and illuminated in the House and the Sanctuary. Muhammad (PBUH) is the bright sun, the full moon of the night, the foremost in loftiness, the light of guidance, the cave of refuge for mankind, the lantern in darkness. He is of beautiful character, the intercessor for nations, the possessor of graciousness and generosity, Allah is his protector, Gabriel his servant, the Buraq his mount, the Mi’raj his voyage, the Lote Tree of the Uppermost Limit his station, two bows’ length or nearer the object of his quest, that which is sought is that which he desires, and that which he desires is that which he finds.

He is the master of the Messengers, the Seal of the Prophets, the intercessor of sinners, the comforter of strangers, the mercy for the worlds, the delight of divine lovers, the object of yearning, the sun of the gnostics, the lamp for travelers upon the path to Allah, the lantern of those brought near, the lover of the poor, the strangers and the destitute, the master of the two weighty things (humans and Jinn), the Prophet of the two sanctuaries, the Imam of the two Qiblas, our means of salvation in both abodes, the one at two bows length, the beloved of the Lord of the two Easts and the two Wests,

The grandfather of Imam Hasan and Imam Husayn, our protector and the protector of the two worlds, the Father of Qasim, Muhammad, the son of Abdullah, a light from the light of Allah, O you who yearns for the light of his beauty, invoke abundant blessings and peace upon him, his family and Companions.
